Herbal medicine: An ancient and well-studied tradition, the use of plants and herbal remedies is extremely effective to treat the balancing of the body from the inside outwards. Herbal medicine can initiate and maintain harmony by supplementing the body in order to reach a higher state of health. Herbs can be useful for most internal disorders, including hypertension, diarrhea, constipation, diabetes, indigestion, insomnia, gynecological issues, and many others.

Tuina (pronounced “twee nah”) & shiatsu massage: Using pressing, stretching, and decompression techniques, areas of tension, pain, and injury are released and healing is promoted by increased flow of fresh blood, oxygen, and Qi . Sports injuries, sciatica, and low back pain are commonly treated with these techniques.

|
Cupping: Smooth glass cups are placed on the body (such as the back or shoulders), after a vacuum suction has been created, in order to disperse areas of stagnation and tension. This technique can be useful for muscle spasms, asthma, or pain.

Moxibustion, “moxa”: Mugwort ( artemisia vulgaris ) is an herb which is dried and then burned in order to gently warm points over the skin. This has the effect of both strengthening and relaxing the body, and is used to relieve pain such as arthritis, menstrual discomfort, and to promote circulation in cases of neuropathy or numbness of the extremities. Moxibustion can also successfully facilitate the turning of a malpositioned "breech" fetus, typically starting at/after 33 weeks of pregnancy.
